Unlike rigid stocking calculators, Tank Compass provides flexible recommendations organized by role (centerpiece, schooling fish, bottom dwellers, cleanup crew). We believe every tank is unique, and hobbyists should have the freedom to mix and match compatible species based on their preferences and bioload capacity.

Our goal is to empower you with compatible options, not prescribe exact stocking plans. You know your tank best, we just help you discover fish that will thrive together.

About This Project

Tank Compass is a solo passion project built by a fellow aquarium hobbyist and developer. It's created with the goal of helping others in the hobby make informed decisions and enjoy the process of building their perfect community tank. Ideally, overtime, I would like to grow Tank Compass into an all encompassing aquarium hobbyist center with recommendations for equipment, plants, guides, and possibly even a way for you to show off your own aquariums and hobby knowledge on Tank Compass!
